Jane Miller said...... I have always loved the gym and it has always been a part of my life. I never entertained the idea of a personal trainer as I didn't have a problem with motivation. However, when a girlfriend suggested we attempt a triathlon, we decided to ask for Brent's help. Now 10 months later, I have lost 7kg (an unexpected but welcome side effect of correct training), hold a gold medal from the Masters Games in triathlon and have had a top ten finish in one of the summer ocean swims. Fitness and fun can go together when you have a personal/group trainer such as Brent who brings his skills, knowledge and personality-plus, making each individual feel special. with trainer Brent's personable motivational style, I managed to run 2 x 5km fun runs when I thought as someone in her senior years, I was past such achievements. |

Sue Heath said...... Since beginning training with Brent approx 3 years ago I have achieved many fitness goals I never thought possible. I had never jogged or run to or from, anything in my life but due to the excellent guidance, professionalism, motivation, care and attention that Brent brings to every session I attend I have been able to set and achieve goals. I have successfully completed a number of 5k and 10k fun runs, culminating in a half marathon in 2008. As I continue to improve my health and fitness I believe if it wasn’t for Brent’s Healthier Life I wouldn’t be able to do the things I do today. Thank you Brent. |

We look forward to the sessions each week and meet other people who are also trying to improve their wellbeing. The 1 hour session caters for all standards and ages and is run extremely well. Sam Breguet said....... At the end of the 2008/09 triathlon season I decided I wanted to do better in 2009/10. After speaking to Brent he knew he could help me achieve this. In the last 6 months he has lifted my training to a whole new level. Brent has corrected my swimming stroke so I feel smoother and more relaxed in the water. I have run a PB this winter. With the weight program he has designed, my legs are feeling stronger than ever and I am looking forward to an improved bike leg. I have been injury free for 6 months (very unusual for me) and he even has me thinking about how best to eat and fuel my body. I am so much more motivated to train hard and with Brent’s program I know next season is looking good. |

We had some success in our first 2 seasons of Surfbaot Rowing but needed something more to be more competitive at a national level. My coach asked Brent to write us a weights program to build strength and maintain fitness with specific applications to rowing. In that very next season we won a bronze medal at the World Championships and made it to the final 8 crews at the Australian Championships. Since then I have trained with some of the best coaches in Australia for elite/high profile athletes and Brent's applications is equal their core conditioning and specificity in training, relative to the sport. Since then I have achieved the 'holy grail' of surfboat rowing, winning a medal at the Australian Titles in the women's open division. Part of this, I believe comes from the foundations of strength, weights and core conditioning Brent prepared me with and I thank him for this." Healthier Life training keeps me motivated, as the sessions are always varied and challenging, at the same time enjoyable. Brent exhibits a positive rapport with clients, catering to the fitness levels of all individuals. Since training with Brent I have gained a higher fitness level and muscle tone, along with achieving my own specific goals.

Helen Downey says..... I thank Brent every time I go personal training for my general fitness and well being. Recently I walked to Mount Everest Base Camp and without my level of fitness and mental discipline I have developed through Brent’s classes it might have been a different outcome. Brent’s friendly and supportive personality allows you to quickly feel comfortable within the group. Whatever age group you fall into or whatever level of fitness you have you are encouraged to improve your general well being. I have been attending classes for nearly 6 years and will continue to do so- it has become such an integral part of my life. |

Dirk said....... Firstly, let me put the comments below into context. I am in my mid-30's, have two pre-school aged children, and a full-time job in Melbourne which requires on average 2 hours of train travel a day. So there's not much time in there for staying fit. |

Hi I've been attending Healthier Life group training with Brent since October 05 during this time I have increased fitness and better well being I thoroughly enjoy each session, Brent offers professional and personal experience, each session is combined cardio and weights which caters for a range of fitness levels. he is now training me through my pregnancy and I feel great!! I was always one of those people who start an exercise program only to stop a few weeks later. Not anymore. I have been going to ‘Healthier Life’ sessions twice weekly for many years and love it. The sessions are challenging but fun and you get to meet some great people. You enjoy yourself while you get fit! Brent is highly experienced as a trainer and dedicated to helping his clients achieve their goals. No matter what your fitness goal may be attending ‘Healthier Life’ training will help you achieve it. |

Kate said......... ‘I’ve been attending Healthier Life for nearly two years. I really like Brent’s training style, he is great at motivating you and making you push harder without the yelling. The groups have a great mix of ages and fitness levels and he caters to all our needs really well. The combination of running and weights means that you get a cardio workout and strength and toning too. I like that we do running, rather than other circuit exercises which need equipment, as when I go away, or my work schedule means I can’t make one the training times, I can run by myself and maintain and measure my fitness. The training times are convenient and only having to give 24 hours notice before a training sessions means that I can be flexible and pick and choose the training sessions that suit me each week. I have tried other group training types, and this is definitely the one for me.’ |
